Hi, my name is  Lynda Stokes; I am the great Neice of
Velma Hiser, who owned / operated / trained / and showed the Vel-Hi Boxers  Kennel in Grinnel, Iowa.
I use to help her, be with her and her boxers, fell in love and eventually owned quiet a few of these magnifcent animals. In 1985, I was given my first, in 1987, I met and became friends with Kathi Schu. In 1991, She aquired a male brindle pup from me, and we started  2  Vel-Hi  Kennels in Texas.
Mine is  Vel-Hi's  Texas Connection Kennel ; I HAVE THE FIRST Original  Kennel in Texas. I am   just NW of
Ft. Worth, in Azle, Texas; and Kathi's is; Texas Vel-Hi  Kennel in Mountain Home, Texas; near Kerrville, just 80 miles west of San  Antonio
. Which she sadly, just retired, BUT Don't count her out !!!!.
Kathi is Still Available to help at times. She has just lost her great Vel-Hi Deizel . He is greatly Missed.

We both strive to do as good a job or better as my Aunt Velma. We hope she will be proud of us. We are AKC affiliated. Some of our pups from latter litters are all over the USA, and some are being showed.  We now have new Champion linage in our lines and just had a litter, Sept. 2007, and are keeping a brindle flashy female for the showring. We are hoping with the Champions in our Vel-Hi lines and this new Champion lines we will again have a Vel-Hi Champion!!
So we hope to see you in the ring!!
Our boxers are extremely people person; love children, some are service dogs, (as Kathi has had 3 and her stud, Deizel, is in training as a service dog > she has fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue)some are working ranchdogs and others are family pets a s well as in the ring.

 Come enjoy a Vel-Hi  Boxer

See pictures of some Original Vel-Hi Boxers in the ring, and their offspring to Boxers of recent  years to now.  See what you think and please comment  in the guestbook.
         Thanks  Lynda
